Clay Sculpting

Clay Sculpting In-Person

Clay—what is it really? A humble mix of water and dirt, yes. But throughout history, it's been so much more than that. From the ancient bricks that built homes to the pottery that stored food and the masks used in sacred rituals, clay has shaped civilizations. Some of these objects have survived for over 28,000 years, offering us a window into the past.

Have you ever dreamed of crafting your own statue, toy, or even a puppet? Or perhaps creating unique decorations for your home? Now’s your chance to bring your creative vision to life using one of the oldest and most versatile materials known to humankind.

Join us for an exciting, hands-on clay sculpting session at the library! Whether you're a beginner or have experience, you’ll learn the basic techniques of shaping and molding clay, all while exploring the ancient art of ceramic crafting that has stood the test of time.
