Read Up! Book Club was founded in 1999 in East Orange, NJ to promote a love of reading to children ages 6-15.  The team of volunteers have served hundreds of young people providing free books, activities and mentoring through monthly book club meetings. The highlight of our program year is out Annual Literary Brunch where we invite a children's book author, illustrator, or publisher to speak to the participants.

The book club meets the third Saturday of each month for September to June between the hours of 10am and noon, with planned book activities. The year end celebration in June, features a guest author, illustrator or publisher of the June book selection.

Membership in the club is $10 per year, per child. Parents are required to accompany their children for the duration of the program.
